Mursidin is pursuing hospitality and tourism management at the University of New Orleans. He intends to help develop a clear sustainable tourism development plan for his local government in Majene Regency upon his return.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature at Satria Makassar University and took a one-year certificate program in hospitality and tourism business management from Whatcom Community College, Bellingham, Washington under the State Department’s Community College Initiative Program.
