Natalie, a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), is placed at SMKN 3 Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, as an English co-teacher. Eager to engage in the classroom, Natalie looks forward to collaborating with students and teachers at her host school. She values the opportunity to build relationships within her site community and embrace new culinary experiences.
After graduating from the University of Michigan, Natalie majored in American culture with a concentration in ethnic studies. Her interest in Indonesian history, particularly its history of resistance and revolution, drove her to pursue a Fulbright ETA position. Through this experience, Natalie aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Asian diaspora.
