Nazla Mariza will study policy analysis/ public policy at Syracuse University because she considers the importance of policy to improve development performance including to better serve the public interest, reduce poverty, improve the economy, as well as to promote democracy and governance. Therefore, she would like to enhance her leadership and analytical competency in public policy in the development context.
Nazla is a Program Director at the Center for Public Policy Transformation, Jakarta, an organization that aims to promote evidence-based policy. She earned her bachelor of humanities from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences at the University of Indonesia, and a master’s degree in development studies with a research focus on policy and decentralization from the University of Sussex (Institute of Development Studies), sponsored by Chevening scholarship.
