For her Fulbright Doctoral degree program in business administration, Niken Iwani Surya Putri is placed at the University of North Texas. Her interest is in strategic management, particularly cooperative behavior, philanthropy, and sustainable strategies for non-governmental organizations.

She earned her bachelor’s in management from Universitas Indonesia, where she is a lecturer. Her master’s in economics and business was from Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
