Under the Humphrey fellowship, Rima Hasanah studies economic development, finance, and banking at Boston University.
She is the head of the Subdivision of Expert Staff to the Minister’s Secretariat at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Jakarta. In her current position, she provides substantive and administrative support to the expert staff of the Coordinating Minister on issues relating to maritime economy, maritime socio-anthropology, marine law, and connectivity management.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung and a master’s in development studies from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Upon completing the Humphrey program, she would use the knowledge gained to improve policies and programs related to integrated coastal zone management and ensure the local communities’ participation in that management.
