Rose Tirtalistyani undertakes her PhD program in agricultural and biosystems engineering at the Iowa State University of Science and Technology to deepen her knowledge in land conservation engineering.

She is a lecturer in engineering at Universitas Gadjah Mada, where she earned her undergraduate degree in civil engineering. She also holds a bachelor’s in engineering in the same field of study from Hanze University of Applied Science, Netherlands, and a master’s in agriculture from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.
