Ruby Mead, a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), co-teaches English at SMKN 10 Makassar, South Sulawesi.

She earned a degree in English literature and language from Carleton College, where she co-founded a campus arts magazine and supported multilingual learners as a writing consultant.

Her past teaching experiences in India and Australia, along with an interest in Indonesia’s multiculturalism and Islamic history, shaped her decision to apply for the Fulbright. In Makassar, she hopes to build connections through shared interests in writing, environmental awareness, and the arts.
