
Satria is studying rehabilitation technology at the University of Pittsburg School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. His research investigates the effectiveness of the use of different mobility assistive technology devices and ways to improve the control of such devices for the users at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL). He will expand his research to the whole person patient care to help people with mobility disabilities to regain function and achieve independence.
Satria earned his bachelor’s degree in prosthetics and orthotics from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital of Mahidol University, Thailand.
Prior to his Fulbright award, Satria was a teaching staff and clinical instructor at the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics of Health Sciences Polytechnics of the Indonesian Ministry of Health where he intends to return upon completion of his MA program.
