Dr Shofwan Al Banna Choiruzzad researches “ASEAN Centrality and Post-COVID-19 Indo-Pacific Regional Architecture” to help understand how US policymakers and think tanks perceive ASEAN in their strategic view on Indo-Pacific.

He is a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Universitas Indonesia. His undergraduate degree was from Universitas Indonesia, and his postgraduate and doctoral degrees from Ritsumeikan University, Japan – all in international relations.
