Dr. Shofwan Al Banna Choiruzzad researches “ASEAN Centrality and Post-COVID-19 Indo-Pacific Regional Architecture” to help understand how US policymakers and think tanks perceive ASEAN in their strategic view on Indo-Pacific.

He is a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, Universitas Indonesia. His undergraduate degree was from Universitas Indonesia, and his postgraduate and doctoral degrees were from Ritsumeikan University in Japan, all in the field of international relations.
