Sigit Haryadi is currently teaching  Indonesian language at University of Hawaii at Manoa.

He is interested to participate in the FLTA Program because he wants to gain professional skills, life experience and understanding of American society, especially in education sector. He would love to study about the U.S. culture and education systems. Furthermore, he is eager to share first-hand factual information about Indonesia to Americans and people of other nations to get better understanding of the country.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in English Education from Universitas Lambung Mangkurat in 2013. Upon the completion of the FLTA program, he intends to return home to teach at the Islamic Boarding School and Polytechnic Hasnur which both are under the same foundation where he currently works. He also intends to apply for a civil servant position at the Department of Education and Culture of Central Kalimantan Province later in the future
