Sophia is a recent graduate of Villanova University in Pennslyvania where she studied history and peace & justice. Throughout college, Sophia enjoyed her time with the surrounding community of Philadelphia where she served as a tutor and teacher’s assistant in the Philadelphia School District. At Villanova, she co-founded a speaker series that engaged in stories encompassing Interfaith. She hopes to continue this cross-cultural engagement in her classroom, and she is excited for the many adventures she will encounter within and outside her school.
After completion of her grant period, Sophia will return to Villanova to complete a master’s in public history in hopes to create more public access to a more representative history.
For her Fulbright ETA program, she will be placed in the Klaten Regency and will co-teach at MAN 2 Klaten.
