On  December 1, ETA Jason Yan at SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo celebrated Thanksgiving with his school community. Collaborating with the English Club, he created a “What Are You Thankful For?” turkey display, a beloved tradition commonly used in American schools. Stationed in the school’s main area, the interactive exhibit invited teachers and students alike to write down their gratitudes and add them to the growing display. This activity not only promoted American values of thankfulness but also provided meaningful English writing practice.

Jason also introduced all the teachers of SMK Krian 2 to an American Thanksgiving classic by leading a hands-on cooking session for mac and cheese. Gathered in the school auditorium, the teachers formed small groups and worked together to follow the recipe under Jason’s guidance and that of his co-teachers. The session concluded with everyone enjoying the delicious results of their collaborative efforts, sharing both good food and good company.
