
Traheka Erdyas Bimanatya is pursuing a doctorate in economics at American University. He wants to study the theoretical model and empirical tools for detecting financial crises and asset price bubbles. High economic costs can be avoided if the crisis and bubble can be accurately predicted.
Traheka is a lecturer at the Department of Economics, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics; and a master’s degree from the University of Nottingham, UK.
