Dr Ellen Hines, a Fulbright ASEAN scholar gave a workshop on a geographic information systems based toolbox that estimates the spatial risk of marine megafaunal (dolphins, whales, turtles, and sharks) bycatch, or unintended capture of these animals in fishing nets.

This is a huge problem globally, and this toolbox is intended for developing countries with incomplete data.  Dr. Hines has given this workshop in Malaysia, India, and Vietnam.  The workshop was successfully conducted at the Phuket Marine Biological Center, part of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resource agency of Thailand.
