US Fulbright Scholar in Myanmar, Dr Hollie Hix-Small’s Knowledge Sharing with the Faculty of Education at Hong Kong University

Faculty of Education at Hong Kong University (HKU) invited Dr. Hollie Hix-Small to provide lectures, discuss research, and observe preschool services. She gave two guest lectures focused on key concepts and features of Early Childhood Intervention systems and services and presented strategies and components necessary for engaging all children in the preschool classroom, including those with developmental or social and emotional difficulties.

Over the course of her five-day visit, she met with numerous faculty and post-doctoral scholars to discuss research and curricula; visited local preschools; and participated in a HKU Faculty of Education research presentation. The Faculty of Education’s portfolio of research, presentations, and publications have had considerable impact in Hong Kong and the region. The visit provided an opportunity to explore future research collaboration and university student-engagement opportunities.
