Dr Muthusami Kumaran, Associate Professor of Nonprofit Management & Community Organization, University of Florida and Fulbright Senior Scholar at Jeju National University, South Korea, visited Hanoi, Vietnam on November 27 – December 1, 2019, to present a research paper entitled “Ocean Plastic Pollution Crisis and Global Environmental NGO Responses,” at the International Workshop entitled “Marine Plastic Pollution: Current Situation and Solutions organized by the Central Institute for Natural Resources and Environmental Studies (CRES), Vietnam National University.

During this visit, Dr Kumaran held meetings with CRES officials and discussed potential collaborative research on building organizational management capacities of environmental NGOs in Vietnam. Dr Kumaran’s travel for this visit to Vietnam was supported by Fulbright Regional Travel Program.
