Yona Jessica Leony Detaq is enrolled at the University of Arkansas as a Global UGRAD Fellow.

She wants to study physics abroad, wants to experience America’s cultural diversity, expand her international network, and promote Indonesia’s cultural riches. She will share her exchange year experience through social media upon her return and hopes thereby to encourage young people in her province to seek opportunities for study abroad.

Yona is a fourth-semester student in physics at Nusa Cendana University, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.
