Yoshua Budiman Harahap pursues his doctoral degree in theology at the Chicago Theological Seminary. His primary interest is in public theology, and how it challenges him to articulate and apply theology “here and now,” involving the church, academia, and society. Through studying politically activist preachers and theologies, he hopes to construct a public theology based on the paradox of Christian (dis)obedience.
Yoshua is a full-time pastor at Christian Churches of Java in Pamulang, Banten, and a lecturer at Jakarta Theological Seminary.
His undergraduate and graduate degrees are in theology from Jakarta College of Theological (STT).
