Dr Zuraida will research “The Global Consequences of Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Disclosure.” She plans to investigate the relationship between ESG individual and aggregate disclosures of global companies on stock price and stock return, market liquidity, market volatility, and the cost of equity capital. She would use two prominent global databases, Bloomberg and Asset4 (Thomson Reuters), far easier to access in the United States.

She is a senior lecturer in accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She holds a master’s degree from Edith Cowan University, Perth, and a PhD in accounting from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand.
