Muhammad Fiji undertakes his PhD program in chemical engineering at the University of Houston. His proposed study is related to the catalysis synthesis for biomass upgrading into chemicals and fuels.

He is a lecturer at Sriwijaya University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.
