Dr Suharyo Sumowidagdo

Dr Suharyo Sumowidagdo carries out research in elementary particles at Northern Illinois University (NIU). His research proposal is on “High Energy Physics and Detector Technology with Mu2e and DUNE Experiments.” Mu2e and DUNE are frontier experiments located at Fermilab near NIU, built through an international collaboration of institutions from the United States and worldwide. He believes that research in the US would enable him to contribute significantly to the experiments and acquire new research expertise and skill in the process.

He did his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in physics from Universitas Indonesia and his doctoral degree from Florida State University.

Dr Suharyo is a senior researcher at the Research Center for Physics, Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) in Jakarta.
