
Dr Yeni Herdiyeni researches “Development of FAIR Biodiversity Data Management Framework and DNA-based Storage Architecture System in Indonesia.” FAIR refers to guiding principles-based “findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability” at Northwestern University and Chicago Botanic Garden.
She is an associate professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB).
She graduated from IPB with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and her post-graduate and doctoral degrees from Universitas Indonesia.
Upon her return, she intends to develop a framework for FAIR biodiversity data management in Indonesia. In addition, she looks forward to enhancing collaboration between the US and Indonesia in biodiversity and conservation research.
