Dwi Cahyani is studying for a doctoral degree in biological and agricultural engineering at the North Carolina State University in sustainable bioenergy, exploring the use of agricultural waste.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from Universitas Lampung and a master’s in biosystems engineering from Wageningen University, Netherlands.

Her home institution is Institut Teknologi Sumatera in South Lampung, where she is a lecturer in the biosystems engineering study program.
