Adam de Boer is a painter from California, who is awarded with a Fulbright Student Research grant for his project called “Return Waves.” Adam, who earned his MA from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, UK, would try to incorporate methods of Javanese batik and woodcarving craft traditions into his current painting practices. The painter who has held numerous exhibitions will work with the Yogyakarta Institute of Arts (ISI) for his Fulbright project for the next 12 months.
