At the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Alia Rahmi Nasution is studying atmospheric sciences, focusing on numerical weather prediction and hydrology systems to develop impact-based weather forecasting in Indonesia.

She received her bachelor’s degree in applied meteorology from Sekolah Tinggi Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika.

Alia is a weather observer at Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika in Tuban.
