On April 2, 2026, English Teaching Assistant Jason Yan joined the SMK Krian 2 Sidoarjo school community in celebrating America250, a milestone marking 250 years of American history and culture. To make the occasion engaging and memorable, Jason collaborated with the school’s English Club to organize a lively photobooth activity. Students eagerly participated, gathering with their friends to take fun and creative pictures that captured the festive spirit of the event.

In addition to the photobooth, students were invited to test their knowledge of the United States by answering trivia questions. One example was, “How many stars are on the American flag?” Those who answered correctly were rewarded with special American flag pins, unique memorabilia that Jason had brought directly from the United States.

The combination of interactive activities, cultural exchange, and friendly competition created an enjoyable learning experience. The celebration not only strengthened students’ interest in English and American culture but also fostered a sense of connection and curiosity about the wider world.
