Anak Agung Ngurah Bagus Trihatmaja is a Software Engineer at PT Livit International Indonesia in Bali, and currently working in award winning virtual laboratories – Labster. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Informatics Engineering in 2013 from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya and was graduated with honor. He is planning to develop a lab simulation to empower STEM students around the world. Prior to his career in Labster, he worked as a web and backend developer in a project for e-ticketing system for commuter rail in Jakarta.  He managed a large amount of data and created a reporting system based on the available data. With that experience, he was much aware that the ubiquitous data can be used for something useful such as for Machine Learning or Big Data Analytics System.

He is pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Science at Northeastern University. He believes his proposed study will enhance his skill to design and implement a good information system with topics ranging from system designs, architecture, and data mining. Upon the completion of the Master’s degree program, he would like to launch an information technology company in Bali and regularly provide guest lectures to several Indonesia’s universities. His vision is to develop an open source platform where it can analyze an enormous amount of data samples, provided by the people, satellite imagery, or sensors, and turn those data into valuable information.
