Anak Agung Sagung Putri Komala Dara is studying for a doctorate in agricultural and resource economics at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. She hopes to conduct research on the effects of climate change on agricultural productivity, with particular focus on adaptation strategies for smallholder farmers.

She holds an MA degree in agricultural economics from the University of New England, Armidale, Australia (2013). She is an agricultural economist at the Center on Food Availability for Sustainable Improvement (CFASI) at Udayana University, in Denpasar.
