Andi Syahid Muttaqin is doing a doctoral-level degree in atmospheric and ocean sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His main interest is in the land-atmosphere interaction over the Indonesia maritime continent. His research “will yield an in-depth understanding of how the land surface processes interact with the atmospheric boundary layer through the soil moisture flux measurement to identify the intensity of the coupling process.”
He earned his bachelor’s degree in applied meteorology from the Bogor Institute of Agriculture and masters in atmospheric science from Bandung Institute of Technology.
He is a lecturer at Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta.
