Andreas is a researcher and development practitioner at Wahana Visi Indonesia. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 1999 and Master’s degree in conflict transformation from Eastern Mennonite University in 2010. He is currently living in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, and working as a project manager of a social accountability project in three districts of East Nusa Tenggara. In his current project, he is also managing the realist research and evaluation of the project.
He would like to pursue a Doctoral degree in development studies which focused on the interface of social accountability, development and conflict prevention. His proposed study is related to the power relations between the state and the citizens and how it affects social accountability and basic services at the local level.
Upon completion of the doctoral degree program, he intends to return to Indonesia and work as a researcher and consultant for development and policy-making.
For his Fulbright Doctoral degree program in development studies, Andreas is placed at University of Missouri.
