Antonius (Oki) Wiriadjaja is an assistant arts professor of Interactive Media Arts (IMA) at New York University (NYU) Shanghai. He holds a master of professional studies from NYU Tisch Interactive Telecommunications Program and a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College. He has taught courses on creative coding, physical computing, wearables, live digital performance, and animation. His work combines programming and electronics with traditional crafts, and he has performed to sold-out audiences at venues in New York City including Lincoln Center, the Kitchen, and the Stone.
As a US Fulbright Scholar, Oki is teaching creative computing to animation students at the Institut Seni Indonesia in Surakarta (ISI Solo). He hopes to introduce programming and new technologies to creative arts students and to the Indonesian traditional arts communities to empower them with the tools and the knowledge to create new forms of storytelling.
