Brian graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in History this past May. While at the University of Iowa, Brian tutored ESL students in the Iowa City community and international students at the University of Iowa.

He is thrilled to be returning to Indonesia and continuing to learn more about its diverse culture. He studied Bahasa Indonesia for ten weeks in Yogyakarta, Central Java so he is looking forward to conversing in the language again. He is definitely looking forward to the amazing Indonesian cuisine and picking up badminton again, which was introduced to him by his host father the previous time he was in Indonesia. Brian is excited for this new challenge and opportunity to develop himself and contribute to such a wonderful country.

For his Fulbright ETA program, Brian will be placed at East Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan where he will co-teach at SMKN 1 Sangatta Utara.
