
Deddy Amrand is originally from Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. He is currently pursuing his doctoral degree in education (TESOL) at the University of Central Florida. He hopes to conduct research on second language reading and literacy because he believes that it is now crucial to develop innovative models of teaching reading in English to English as a Foreign Language learners, which not only facilitate reading proficiency but also accelerate language acquisition, encourage positive reading habits, and promote literacy.
He completed his undergraduate-level degree majoring in English Literature at Hasanuddin University, Makassar, and earned a master of TESOL from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He’s a lecturer of Halu Oleo University in Kendari.
