Dr. Arif Wibowo is a research professor at the Center for Biological Systems Research, National Agency for Research and Innovation (BRIN), Bogor. He earned his bachelor’s degree in plant breeding and a master’s degree in environmental science from Universitas Gadjah Mada, and a doctoral degree in aquatic resources management from Institut Pertanian Bogor.
As a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, he conducts research in fisheries management, focusing on environmentally sustainable ways to help fish move through rivers and waterways. The research supports river restoration efforts while protecting aquatic ecosystems and fish populations. He aims to collaborate with leading U.S. institutions to advance resilient river restoration practices.
