Dr. Dini Hervani is a plant breeding and genetics lecturer at Universitas Andalas, Padang.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in plant breeding from that university, her master’s in agronomy, and a PhD in plant breeding and biotechnology, both from Institut Pertanian Bogor.
At the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, her research project is on plant breeding and genetics entitled “Optimizing cryopreservation protocols for long-term storage and conservation of Indonesian papaya (Carica papaya L.) germplasm.” She intends to develop a better plant germplasm storage program in Indonesia.
