Dr. Dwi Amanda Utami is a researcher at the Research Center for Climate and Atmosphere, BRIN, Bandung.

She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in oceanography from Institut Teknologi Bandung and her PhD in geology from RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

She is researching geology at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute on a project entitled “Assessing Heavy Metal Contamination in Microplastic and Sediment of a Coral Reef Ecosystem.” She has presented previous research at national and international forums, including the International Meeting of Carbonate Sedimentologists, and in reputable journals such as Scientific Reports and Sedimentology, and she Scientific Reports and Sedimentology, and hopes to do the same after this research project is completed.
