Dr. Harry Kurniawan is a lecturer in design and researcher-designer at the Center for Universal Design and Diffabilities, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta.

He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in architectural engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada, and a PhD in architecture from Tohoku University, Japan.

Dr. Harry’s research on design at Gallaudet University is on “the idea behind the implementation of Universal Design in architecture.” He would like to further study the critical thinking and creative process behind universal architecture design projects and establish future collaborations with experts from the United States.
