Dr. Magdalena Lenny Situmorang, conducting her research at the University of Arizona, is focused on agricultural and food products. Given the substantial losses incurred in shrimp aquaculture due to diseases, her research centers on studying the immune responses of Pacific white-leg shrimp to different pathological factors.

Dr. Magdalena completed her undergraduate studies in biology at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). She went on to obtain a master’s degree in aquaculture and a PhD in applied biological sciences from Ghent University in Belgium.

Currently, Dr. Magdalena serves as a lecturer-researcher at ITB.
