Dr. Ni Putu Ariantari, a lecturer at Universitas Udayana in Bali, holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Universitas Gadjah Mada, a master’s in pharmaceutical science from Universitas Airlangga, and a PhD in pharmaceutical biotechnology from Heinrich-Heine Duesseldorf University in Germany.
Currently conducting research in pharmacy at Oregon State University – Corvallis, her focus is on exploring the OSMAC (“one strain many compounds”) approaches to Penicillium steckii, an endophytic fungus found in bignay (Antidesma bunius) leaves. Dr. Ariantari is eager to establish future academic collaborations with scholars in the United States and gain further expertise in elucidating the biosynthetic pathways of fungal bioactive metabolites and characterizing the biosynthetic gene clusters responsible for their production.
