Currently conducting research in civil engineering at Drexel University, Dr. Puput Risdanareni focuses on studying “The Durability Performance of Bacteria-Based Self-Healing Concrete Using Waste Coal Ash-Based Lightweight Aggregate as Bacteria Protector.” This research has significant implications as it explores the potential use of surplus coal ash from coal power plants, which holds relevance for Indonesia and the United States, considering their reliance on coal for electricity generation to some extent.

Dr. Puput is a lecturer at Universitas Negeri Malang, East Java. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s in civil engineering from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Surabaya, and obtained her PhD in from Ghent University, Belgium.
