
Dr. Marlyn Dian Laksitorini is a lecturer in pharmaceutical chemistry at Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Her current research on pharmaceutical chemistry is conducted at the University of Kansas. Pharmaceutical chemistry studies “pharmaceutical drug products manufactured in, extracted from, or semisynthesized from biological sources” (Wikipedia). Her research project is “Establishment of the Indonesian Center for Biologics Formulation and Stabilization: Immunoglobulin G (IgG) as a Model Protein Drug.” She aims to formulate low-cost biological drugs that meet the halal standard.
Dr. Marlyn earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Universitas Gadjah Mada, a master’s in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of Kansas, and a PhD in pharmacology and therapeutics from the University of Manitoba.
