Dr. Pande Gde Sasmita Julyantoro is researching at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff entitled “Isolation of AHL-degrading bacteria from fish tanks of aquaponic systems.” The U.S. is advanced in the technology of aquaponics systems for commercial agriculture. He is confident research results can be significant in both countries, to better understand the role of microbes in aquaponics systems.

Dr Pande is a lecturer at Universitas Udayana, Denpasar.

He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from Institut Teknologi Bandung and his PhD in applied biology (aquaculture) from Ghent University, Belgium.
