Dr. Rasiah is researching Afro-American literature at Temple University on “Rewriting Slavery in Contemporary Fiction: A Study of Black Authors’ Strategies in American Literature.” She has been focusing on African-American literature for some time and wants to focus on slavery in recent writing. The US is the best place for her to interview authors and collaborate with other experts on this topic.

Dr Rasiah is a lecturer at Universitas Halu Oleo, Kendari.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in English, her master’s in literature, and her PhD in American studies, all at Universitas Gadjah Mada.
