Dr. Rita Shea-Van Fossen is a Fulbright Specialist at the Catholic University of Saint Augustine of Hippo (Universitas Katolik Santo Agustinus Hippo, San Agustin) in West Kalimantan, Indonesia from February 26 to April 4, 2024. The goals of the project are to assist university leadership in developing workforce plans and human resource practices to establish good governance and build a solid foundation for San Agustin’s future growth. Dr. Shea will be conducting workshops with faculty and administrative staff, evaluating current practices, and assisting in developing strategies and measures to support the university’s goal of expanding educational opportunities in this developing area of the country.

Dr. Shea-Van Fossen is an associate professor of management at the Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University (FL) and previously served as the college’s assistant dean of assurance of learning and undergraduate affairs. Her research explores the effect of change and challenges on individual and organizational performance, in addition to her scholarship in teaching and learning and issues within the higher education industry. Her prior career as a certified public accountant included consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers and senior financial leadership positions at the American Red Cross and Sands Hotel and Casino.
