At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Saktioto is immersed in research on optics. His research focuses on utilizing a plasma torch in an equilibrium state to showcase the tunability of optical fiber coupling. The utilization of plasma photonics modeling and experimental methods remains relatively uncommon, despite the significant industrial potential for optical fiber design and fabrication advancements.

Dr. Saktioto is a senior lecturer at Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in physics, a master’s degree in plasma physics from the University of Manchester, the United Kingdom, and a doctorate in photonics physics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
