Dr. Stalis Norma Ethica is a microbial biotechnology, biochemistry, and toxicology lecturer at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang.

Currently, she’s conducting research in biochemistry, biophysics, and molecular biology at Oregon State University—Corvallis. Her research project is “Cloning and overexpression of anti-necrotic protease from marine bacteria Bacillus spp. isolated from the fermented intestine of sea cucumber inhabiting Nusa Tenggara waters.” She aims to obtain upgraded interdisciplinary experience, joint publications, and an expanded network with American researchers.

She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry and a doctorate in biotechnology from Universitas Gadjah Mada.
