Dr. Sudarmono Suardi Kiramang is an associate professor at the Faculty of Politics and Government, Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN), Sumedang, West Java. He earned his bachelor’s degree in science in governance from Sekolah Tinggi Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (STPDN), a master’s degree in development administration from Universitas Hasanuddin, and a doctoral degree in development science at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

As a Fulbright Visiting Scholar, he conducts research in development studies at The University of Rhode Island, particularly on collaborative governance in ensuring food security in small islands of Indonesia. He plans to implement the refined methodology in three Indonesian island communities, produce evidence-based policy recommendations for the Indonesian government, and integrate his findings into the IPDN curriculum.
