Dr. Zetra Hainul Putra is researching mathematics teacher training at Pennsylvania State University  – specifically “Technological involvement in learning and teaching mathematics during the pandemic: A comparative study of Indonesian and US teacher training and education.” He believes investigating and understanding US teacher training and education in dealing with technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic could provide a model to improve teacher education programs in Indonesia. Moreover, he hopes to obtain a theoretical lens to develop a program to support the sustainability of pre-service teachers’ mathematical and didactic knowledge.

Dr Zetra is a lecturer at Universitas Riau, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. His master’s and PhD were in mathematics education from Universitas Sriwijaya for his master’s and the University of Copenhagen for his PhD.
