At Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Fransisca Ariantiningsih is working on a PhD in ecology and evolution to promote conservation as more than species protection which heavily affects people and the local social-economic.
She is an executive director at Yayasan Orangutan Sumatera Lestari – Orangutan Information Centre (YOSL-OIC) in Medan.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry from Universitas Cenderawasih and a master’s in wildlife conservation from the University of Queensland, Australia.
