Peter recently graduated from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, where he majored in Mathematics and completed the pre-medical track. His interest in the Fulbright ETA grant in Indonesia stems from his passion for adventure and drive to understand and interact with an area of drastic cultural and geographic differences – a big change from his hometown in Vermont. He fell in love with working with kids through his many summers spent working as a summer camp counselor at an all-boys sleep away camp in New Hampshire. He is a firm believer in the importance of education and more specifically on learning to interact with many different types of people in order to gain broader perspectives. Peter looks forward to integrating himself in his host community and garnering meaningful relationships with fellow teachers, students, and all other community members.
Following his Fulbright ETA program in Indonesia, he hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career as a physician.
For his Fulbright ETA program, Peter will be placed at West Sumatera where he will co-teach at MAN 1 Payakumbuh.
